Volunteers Needed for the 2011 Alexandria Film Festival

The 2011 Alexandria Film Festival will take place November 3-6 at five different venues throughout Alexandria.

Two volunteer positions need to be filled: House Manager and usher.

The House Manager will be responsible for managing between 2-8 man crews during a 2-5 hour time slot for the Alexandria Film Festival (November 3-6). The House Manager will act as the main source of communication between the chair and the rest of the helpers during the festival. They will also be communicating with the V.I.P. Handlers.

The volunteer usher for the Alexandria Film Festival will be responsible for handing out programs, selling and collecting tickets as well as managing the crowd. The volunteer will help guests find seating and act as a visual and physical presence to assist with any concerns or difficulties that visitors may have.

You may sign up for as many hours as you like or even just a 2-5 hour time slot on any of the available days. These are the current open time slots are located at the George Washington Masonic Memorial. Our biggest needs are for the later shift on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Here are the times for both of the George Washington Masonic Memorial venues:
