Springfield Art Museum in Springfield, MO announces a call to artists for Prints U.S.A. 2011, November 19, 2011 - January 8, 2012. $10,000 in cash, Museum and Patron Purchase Awards. Juror: Elizabeth Wyckoff. Open to artists, 18 years of age or older, living in the United States or its possessions. A maximum of three prints per artist may be submitted. Prints must be original.  Deadline: August 22, 2011. Manhood is traditionally defined with a combination of qualities such as courage, virility, determination and agility. The definition has been socially constructed over the last century by historical and contextual factors largely based on the idea of man as provider and protector. After social movements such as the Civil Rights and Feminist movements, man is encouraged to remove his armored exterior and reveal himself human, of flesh and blood, of life and emotions. Fluxx Studio & Gallery is seeking to fill its walls with Artworks of a 21st century description of manhood. Qualifications: Work Media/Work Size: No media/size limit. Artworks must be able to hang on a wall. Participants may submit up to 3 works, images must be in jpeg format at 72 dpi. Images should be labeled with the artist name, title, size, and year. Accepted Artwork must be wired and ready to hang. The submission fee is $5. Anatomy in the Gallery - IL

If your entry is chosen to be a part of THE ANIMATION PROJECT, it will be part of a collection of short animated films to be shown in a traveling feature-length theatrical release. You will be given full credit for your work, as well as being featured in our website and our social media networks including a link to your website. ELIGIBILITY: Open to any artist 18 years or older, student, amateur or professional working on animation based shorts under 10 minutes in length. All entries must represent original work and not have been previously accepted in any of The Animation Project screenings. The City of Coeur d'Alene Arts Commission is seeking artists for its Wastewater Treatment Plant to create public art to bring forward and support the important functions of the facility and highlight the city's natural environment and relationshp with its precious resources. The Coeur d'Alene area is one of the fastest growing regions in the Northwest.  The new Wastewater Treatment Plant is designed to handle the current and projected growth while protecting the natural environment and public health of the region.  The Coeur d'Alene Wastewater Treatment Plant public art should be integrated and made to feel seamless within the overall project, visually enhance areas of the Wastewater Treatment Plant that are within public view/access, create unique, thoughtful, and context sensitive public art, educate visitors through interpretive opportunities, and provide cost efficiency through durability and low maintenance. 4th Annual International Narrative Shorts Film Festival - CA
