May 19 and 20, 2012 marks the 21st Annual Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival showcasing the best contemporary fine art and craft from around the country. Over two hundred artists fill the streets of Reston’s up-scale Town Center with an outdoor art exhibition that is regarded as one of the top festivals on the East Coast. Artists are selected on the basis of quality, originality, and craftsmanship by a panel of jurors who are experts in their fields. Festival organizers also invite ten award winners from the previous year and six percent of participating artists. In 2011, thirty percent of exhibitors were first-time artists. The festival is produced by Greater Reston Arts Center (GRACE), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, in support of its exhibition, education, and outreach programs. No sales commissions are charged and festival admission is free but voluntary donations are encouraged. 100% of the funds collected go directly to support GRACE’s mission.

Call for Exhibition Proposals, 2013 Season

GRACE (Greater Reston Arts Center) is a non-profit arts center in Northern Virginia dedicated to presenting visual art that illuminates new ideas and promotes dialogue between artists and audience. The exhibition program offers artists from the mid-Atlantic region opportunities to experiment and expand their work in an open, contemporary space. Artists living or working in Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia are invited to submit proposals.
GRACE exhibitions are scheduled from September through July and include solo exhibitions, thematic shows, site-specific and inter-active installations, and an annual juried exhibition. The arts center also sponsors opening receptions, artist talks, workshops, readings, music, dance, and other cultural programs as part of its mission to engage the community in contemporary art.
The arts center is now accepting proposals for periods of approximately 4 – 6 weeks from November 2012 through September of 2013. Six solo artists will be grouped into two Focus Exhibitions, each featuring three artists in separate areas of the gallery. Group exhibition proposals are also welcomed.
Call for Video Artists: AC Institute - NY

In keeping with our mission to provide a platform for artistic exposure, the AC Institute will be unveiling a bi-weekly rotating video project, entitled Flat Out, along with our exhibition and performance calendar for the 2011-2012 year. On select Thursdays, the gallery will exhibit a new video work by emerging and experimental artists from around the globe on a LCD screen mounted at the entrance to the gallery. WPCA does not host solo exhibitions, therefore singular proposals accepted for exhibition will be paired with artists whose work parallels theirs in aesthetic or content. Kissimmee Sculpture Experience - FL

The purpose of the Kissimmee Sculpture Experience is to promote and market Historic Downtown Kissimmee as an up and coming art and cultural destination by displaying original sculptures around Downtown Kissimmee in the form of a walking tour. This event promotes awareness of the arts by giving people, who would not normally have access to a museum, an opportunity to view and appreciate art. As part of the Sculpture Experience, Kissimmee Main Street, which is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization, will actively promote the sale of all sculptures on display. We have created a comprehensive strategy to market the Sculpture Experience that utilizes brochures, newspapers, radio, magazine and internet advertising. This gives each artist excellent exposure to potential proprietors taking the walking tour. We also host and end of the year gala to present the artists awards, and two Sip n Stroll events per year where we invite the public to take a walking guided tour, stopping at each sculpture. ) Kissimmee Main Street is accepting sculpture entries to be part of our 5th annual Kissimmee Sculpture Experience. Night Sky argues for the relevance of a quintessentially human activity: looking up at the stars. The purpose of the exhibition is to explore the possibilities for reconnecting with a vital part of our biological, historical and cultural heritage that is in danger of extinction. Artists whose works examine the meaning of the night sky in contemporary culture are invited to submit work samples and proposals. All media will be considered for exhibition, including paintings, drawings, sculpture, photographs, video and installations.
