Today's local exhibit opportunities for artists!

AI's 20th Anniversary Exhibition
Exhibit dates: September 11-October 21, 2011

Artists working in the US in 2D and 3D mediums are welcome to submit art for the upcoming exhibit at The Art Institute's Gallery in Salisbury, Maryland. Best in show wins $1,000 and two awards for excellence will be given ($500 each). Show will be juried by Margaret Winslow of the Delaware Art Museum. Deadline is June 3, 2011. "Linus and Alora" Call for filmmakers
Performance dates: June 9-July 10, 2011

The Single Carrot Theatre in Maryland wants new filmmakers to contribute to the upcoming production by Andrew Irons. All films must be between 20 seconds and 1 minute. Filmmakers must have access to filming and editing equipment. Small stipend provided. Email resume and attachments of work or to links on Vimeo, YouTube or personal websites to gdemahy@singlecarrot.com. Deadline is May 1, 2011.

Two Rivers Elementary's 7th Annual Art Gala
Donations wanted

The school is accepting donations from the art community through April 30th for the 7th annual art gala's silent auction. Contact lou_greenwms@comcast.net if you want to participate. 

The Graceful Envelope Contest
2012 Season

The Washington Calligraphers Guild is holding its annual design competition for artistic envelopes. Winners will be exhibited at the National Association of Letter Carriers and on the Calligrahers Guild's website. This year's theme is "Time Flies". Deadline is April 30th, 2011.
