Artisphere's Call for Entries 

  • MEZZ GALLERY 2012 - 2013 EXHIBITION SEASON
Deadline: April 28, 2011
Exhibition Dates: November 17, 2011-January 11, 2014

Open to all artists and organizations living or working in Arlington County. $500 award, $25 entry fee. Curated by Donald Russell, Executive Director of Provisions Library and Kristina Bilonick, artist and Director of Pleasant Plains Workshop.

Deadline: May 9, 2011
Exhibition Dates: July 28-September 11, 2011


Arlington Ellipse Arts Center's two decade-old juried photography show is looking for regional photographers. $500 Juror's Choice Awards. $25 entry fee.Juried by Amanda Maddox, associate curator of photography and media art at Corcoran Gallery of Art.

Rolling submissions. $10 entry fee.

New Media and Video is wanted for Artisphere spaces throughout the year, reviewed by Artisphere Curatorial Staff and special invited professionals. $10 entry fee.

2011 Aesthetica Magazine Creative Works Contest

All artists, writers, poets and photographers are wanted to submit work for publication in Aesthetica's annual Creative Works magazine. $800 prize and other prizes are given to winners. Deadline for submissions is August 31, 2011. Guidelines can be found online.


The Sunderland Book Project Call for Submissions
 

Artists are wanted to submit a wide range of unique interpretations of the city of Sunderland. Strict guidelines apply for the touring exhibition. Deadline for submissions is July 29th, 2011. Work can be no larger than 21x15x1cm. Visit the project's website for more details. 


Arlington Arts Center 2012 call for SOLOS artists

Artists who produce contemporary art in any and all media and who live or work in Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, West Virginia, Delaware, or Pennsylania may submit exhibition proposals. This year's panelists will be Klaus Ottman from the Phillips Collection, Karen Milbourne from the Smithsonian African Art Museum and JJ McCracken, a DC installation artist.
