This workshop concentrates on developing a painting of the human figure from life. Lectures and demonstrations on gesture, composition, proportion, orientation of the masses of the figure, alignment of smaller forms, construction, and anatomy, interface into a more "holistic" approach. Additional areas of concentration are color, tone, how to copy a pose, and how to study the underlying structure of the body in perspective while observing how surface forms are revealed in a specific light. Includes one-on-one personal critique when it is most effective. $420.
