2011 and the park is still there. My friend and I explored the site last week. It is still completely abandoned, creepy, beautiful, sad and as post-apocalyptic as ever...very True-Blood-Esqe. The highlight of our eerie adventure had to have been the alligators cruising around the now defunct park acting as if they owned the place.
