The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) accepts artwork submissions year-round for its annual Expressions of Hope wall calendar. Cancer has a profound effect on all the lives it touches. We invite anyone who has been affected by cancer – patients, friends, families, caregivers – to share their emotions through art and inspire hope in others.

The National Watercolor Society 90th International Exhibition - CA Deadline: June 26. Accepting submissions where the primary media is water-based on unvarnished paper surface. Mixed media works accepted as long as water media is dominant. Digital media, photography, prints, or reproductions are ineligible. Works must have been completed in the last 2 years. Cash awards available. Exhibition is scheduled Oct. 30-Dec. 11, 2010, at the NWS Gallery in San Pedro, California. Entry fee: $30 nonmembers. 2010 Arts on Foot Art Market- DC - Deadline: July 6 - Call to artists for the 2010 Arts on Foot Art Market, held September 8, 9, 10 and 11.  The weekday Art Market on Wed - Fri will be held on the wide sidewalk of F Street, NW between 7th & 9th Streets.   The full festival on Saturday will take place on F Street, NW between 6th & 7th and between 7th & 9th Streets, and 8th Street between E & F Streets in Washington DC in front of the Smithsonian Portrait Museum. The Art Market highlights the work of local, regional and national visual artists. 80-100 artists will be selected in 13 media categories. Info and application at www.diversemarkets.net
The Nonprofit Village  / Washington School of Photography – MD Deadline: July 30. Theme: This permanent exhibit will showcase the beauty and scope of the Washington, DC area, from macro images to landscapes. Open to residents of the DC metro area. Any photographic work is eligible: Maximum dimension of any one side must be less than 36 inches. Slides/CDs - All photographs will be judged from slides or CDs (jpeg only, low res). Cash prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place winners. Opening reception for artists and guests September 24, 2010.
